[D-multisensory] Changes in the web presence of the IMRF.

Several new developments were discussed at the 2004 business meeting in Sitges.

Future Meetings
The next meeting will be held in Trento Italy. The chair of the organizing committee will be Francesco Pavani and the members of this committee will be decided in the next short while. Please contact Francesco with ideas or considerations as he forms his committee (you should be able to find him at the multisense.info site discussed below). The following year is planned in Dublin, Ireland. Details on both conferences will follow as available.

A new multisensory web portal was announced and is awaiting new members and new content. You can find this resource at www.multisense.info. Please go to this site and enter your particulars and start to use the resources available. New resources are planned over the next six months including a virtual journal, article database, job postings, etc. Your comments and direction in this development process would be greatly appreciated. A monthly newsletter with new content information and key stories will be sent to people who opt for it. This feature should be active in some time in the new year (January, 2005). Membership does not cost and is solely for the purposes of allowing people to find you and setting your preferences at the portal. Some features require a login name. Again, details to follow.

Information concerning the conference, both past and future can now be found at www.imrf.info. Pointers to special issues, recently published books and an archive of all past presentations are there. In addition, details of IMRF activities will be posted here as available. See www.imrf.info/2005 for details of the next conference.

Finally, this mailing list is going to be opened up for discussion of any multisensory topics. The list will still be moderated so, you will not get any spam, however, the quantity of mailings may increase. If you would like to remove yourself from this list please go to the link at the bottom right of the IMRF.info page. All information about the upcoming conferences will be sent in the monthly newsletter discussed above. In the mean time, please feel free to send job postings, research questions, etc. to this mailing list and they will be forwarded to the group. There are presently 375 members to this mailing list. I hope all of you will join the new multisense.info community as it moves forward and develops.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Italy next year and on the web immediately.

cheers,

David
