Gentlemen, Pls review subject and give corrections. I would like to get an
upcheck from you before i contact those appropriate to suggest they contact
Dr. Welsh directly for info on the procedure he carried out. I talked to
Welsh several days ago and he okayed that method to satisfy all of the
consults listed who asked me for anything that developed on my reequests for
the WBI procedure.
And Ted "Carrie Nation" Rockwell I'll send you a separate response on your
last xmission to me. Honestly if i go to the ultimate on your suggestion

Medical Consults in 1999 for Treatment of WaldenstromÆs Macroglobulinimia
with Low Dose Whole Body Irradiation
Agus, David B. , Division of Hematological Oncology, Memorial
Sloan-Kettering
Cancer Center, 1275 York Ave. New York, NY 10021. 212) 639 2820 (Is a
colleague of Dr. Craig Moskowitz, a relative of my local oncologist, Mark
Moskowitz) Specializes in treatment of WaldenstromÆs.
Said MSK is the best radiation therapy facility in the country. Said they
have utilized Low Dose Whole Body Irradiation many times. Considered
effective and utilized only when chemos were ineffective - in cases of nodal
cancers. Not advised in my case since secondary effects are significant,
eg.,
bone marrow degradation - and only effective for a few years with repetition
precluded.

Assisted John Chaffey on his WBI work. Performed on two patients; one with
and one without remission. Willing to conduct along the lines of Japanese
paper, as long as I understood the potential risks to the bone marrow (
Primarily platelets, in his experience) and as long as my medical oncologist
goes along. ( See Moskowitz)

Very interested in moving out on procedures of greater benefits than
available. Agreed to review documents and if procedure has theoretical merit
and isnÆt likely to cause too much harm, will consider carying it out.
Referred to usual dificulties in getting new therapy approval in a hospital.
