I wish we had people of this calibre in our
government. Pete understands the real health effects of nuclear
radiation. I met him at two Gordon Research Conferences on nuclear energy
and waste (in the late 1990s). He was instrumental in setting up the DOE's
Low Dose Radiation Research Program.

Laboratory to serve as Science Advisor on the staff of U.S. Senator Pete
Domenici and the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, where he focused
on military and civilian uses of nuclear technology, national science policy,
