Unbelievable. I know everyone has their gripes with the CNSC, but by all accounts Keen was just following her organizations legislative mandate. It is not the CNSC's job to balance between reactor safety and public health. That responsibility lies with the government, and it was good for the public debate to happen in parliament.
As for "supporting documentation", Keen should submit the Nuclear Safety and Control Act word for word. That act makes her independent from "ministerial directives".
