[cdn-nucl-l] Soljacic article on Efficient wireless non-radiative mid-range energy transfer

I read an article in American Physical Society News (January 2007) about a team of MIT physicists who are investigating the physics of electromagnetic fields to devise a scheme, a la Nicola Tesla, for using wireless non-radiative energy transfer to power gadgets (artificial hearts, laptop computers, cell phones, MP3 players, etc).

Here's some light reading for a Sunday afternoon.
