[cdn-nucl-l] Unintelligible Messages

Hello,

I have a favour to ask.

Despite pleas from the list Administrator, a number of users of this 
listserver are still sending formatted messages which appear as 
unintelligible random characters when read by those using different e-mail 
systems.  For example, users of Microsoft Outlook often have the formatting 
Winmail.dat file attached - this file is not legible or useful to those not 
using MS Outlook and who receive messages in digest form.

As indicated by the Administrator, it is preferred that messages be sent in 
plain text.  To configure Outlook to not send the Winmail.dat attachments 
and to send messages in plain text, do the following:

1) Click on Tools
2) Click Options, and then click the Mail Format tab.
3) In the Send in this Message Format list, select Plain Text, and then 
click OK.

For those who wish to find out more about this,  just do  a Google search 
on "Winmail.dat".  A number of sites explain this issue very clearly.
