I recently received pdfs of some 1946-1948 documents from Dr. Ian Hastings, relating to the French heavy water (originally from Norway) that was sent out of France in 1940 and made its way to Montreal and Chalk River. The documents include letters and memos from some of the pioneers of Canadian nuclear science. I linked these documents from within an article "On the Trail of Drum T-7". Also, I received a pdf of a 1948 report "The Production of Heavy Water at Trail, B.C.", by E.A. Barlow, CRE-374, March 8 1948.
These documents can be found on the "Nuclear History" page of the Canadian Nuclear Society web site at www.cns-snc.ca .
