So, any word yet on that UFO trail seen in the second photo, stretching from Lake St Clair/Detroit out over Toronto, then Gananoque, Ont., all the way to the Quebec-Maine border ?

I'd just about guarantee the Geostar picture of the blackout is faked. If
you zoom in about 10-20 times, you can see that the blackness was most
likely brushed in with a faded spray filler. Also, it would never be darker
than anywhere else without lights, eg. the far north as you point out - good
call.

Note too that there is much more light shown than what the Geostar picture
shows. These photographs are taken by the Defense Meteorological Satellite
Program (DMSP) F-series satellite Operation Linescan System with 0.56 km
