URANIUM EXPLORATION COMMENCING IN NEWFOUNDLAND
Altius Minerals Corporation has begun a drilling program to explore for uranium
on its Rocky Brook property located in western Newfoundland. Altius is conducting the
exploration in conjunction with Cameco Corporation of Saskatoon, the world's largest
uranium mining company. Exploration is targeting the source of boulders on the 14,000
hectare property that have been noted to contain very high grade uranium mineralization.
The current drilling program is to consist of approximately 80 shallow holes into areas
identified by previous airborne surveys and till prospecting and chemistry work.
