To the BNCT research community:
I thought it might be worth mentioning that the Harvard/MIT BNCT Program is alive and well and continues as a collaborative endeavor involving researchers based in the Departments of Radiation Oncology and Radiology at BIDMC and the Nuclear Reactor Laboratory and Department of Nuclear Engineering at MIT.
As well as a variety of investigations in basic and applied research, we are currently conducting two NIH/NCI-sponsored clinical trails for BPAf-mediated BNCT: A Phase I/II trial for the treatment of intracranial metastatic melanoma and glioblastoma, and a Phase II trial for melanoma of the extremities.
More information on our research program and clinical trials can be found on our web site: http://www.bnct.org.

Yes, it's 2-1/2 years old, but still interesting. A McMaster student sent it to me.

On the topic of treating cancers and preventing new mutations created by irradiation techniques, you may find the following article interesting.

A recent news item from MIT would be interesting. I know they treated a liver cancer patient recently with BNCT
