[cdn-nucl-l] Unit 2 Temelin NGS produced its first million of MWh of electricity

At Unit 2, the stage of the complex testing is carried on and will enter its
second half of its 144 hours’ trial run at full power today.
Yesterday afternoon, the Nuclear Power Plant  Temelin acquired the permit of
the State Office for Nuclear Safety to enter the trial operation at Unit 2.
The Unit 2 produced its first million of MWh of electricity this year.

At Unit 1, the preparation of systems and equipment is under way to the unit
restart. Yesterday evening, the unit has been brought into operation mode
4 - semi-hot conditions. Auxiliary systems of the power plant are operating
in compliance with the mode of the corresponding unit.

The Unit is in Mode 1 - power operation
The reactor power is 100 %
Turbine generator output - 999 MWe
The electricity production since beginning of the year: 1 002 722 MWh

‘clock:
The Unit is in Mode 4 - semi-hot conditions (reactor coolant temperature is
150°C through 260°C)
The reactor power is 0 %
Turbine generator output - 0 MWe
the planned guarantee revision is carried on, which has been started on
January 31, 2003
