Westinghouse lands nuclear contract

Monroeville-based Westinghouse Electric Co. LLC said it has reached a
multiyear agreement with New Orleans-based Entergy Corp. The contract
designates Westinghouse as an exclusive provider of engineering, field
services, replacement parts, instrumentation and controls for Entergy's
nuclear reactors.

Details of the deal were not released, however, the companies said the
value of the agreement will vary based on improvements in the operating
performance of Entergy's five pressurized water reactors and four
boiling water reactors located in the Northeast and the South.

Entergy is the third-largest power generator in the nation with more
than 30,000 megawatts of generating capacity, about $11 billion in
revenue and over 2.5 million customers.

Westinghouse Electric, wholly owned by British-based BNFL plc, offers
nuclear plant products and services to utilities around the world.
Westinghouse employs 9,000 people worldwide, with about 3,000 in Western
Pennsylvania.
