Subject: video seminar - Fermi

Thought some of the history buffs out there might be interested in the
webcast of a seminar Alvin Weinberg will be giving Wednesday September 5
from 1:30 to 2:30 PM EST. It is part of a series of seminars sponsored by
the Nuclear Engineering Department at the University of Tennessee.

The title of the presentation is "Enrico Fermi and the World's First
Controlled Self-Sustaining Chain Reaction"
Dr. Weinberg was a member of the Manhattan Project team led by Enrico Fermi
that produced the world's first controlled, self-sustaining chain reaction
on December 2, 1942. This year, 2001, marks the 100th anniversary of the
birth of Enrico Fermi. The link is:

You will need Real Player in order to view it - and some good luck - for
something like this, I'd say its a 50/50 shot.
