RE: [cdn-nucl-l] Beyond the Nader Campaign
Interesting. Is this the same Ralph Nader who said in Aug 1973: "If the
country (USA) knew what the facts were and if they had to choose between
nuclear reactors and candles, they would choose candles"?
Hmmm. The USA is now producing more electricity from reactors than ever
before, so America has not chosen candles. Therefore:
1) America still doesn't know the facts 28 years later - poor work and fact
dissemination by Nader and associates.
OR
2) America knows the facts and has chosen nuclear reactors, thanks to
improved safety, economics and performance of reactors
OR
3) America cannot afford the parafin and beeswax to fuel candle-powered
electrical plants, so candles are not a choice
Is this the same guy who said in Jan 1974: "Thus in ten years, and most
certainly in twenty-five, the US will have all the energy it needs without
nuclear fission."
Hmmmm

Ralph Nader's 2000 campaign brought tens of thousands into electoral
activism. Now, many are joining the Green Party's effort to change
America from the bottom up. From Maine to California, in New York,
Colorado, Pennsylvania, Minnesota and other states, Greens are running
over 100 candidates for local offices.
