Wow, that was quite a persuasive essay!  Thank you so much!

I'm glad we are not treating mosquitoes as endangered species.

So now I don't understand why many people are defending DDT so passionately,
if there are alternative insecticides that do a reasonable job.

Do you have any explanation for the strong emotional attachment of some
scientists to DDT?
