Regarding positions in Canada, the Canadian Association of Physicists
website has an employment section, and at least one of their postings is
related to radioisotopes (MDS Nordion in Kanata, Ontario).  They're looking
for a medical physicist with radioisotope experience in a clinical
environment, but it may also appeal to a radiochemist.  Your friend can
