About ces-list

The Community Education list is for persons who are interested in learning about and discussing large-group interventions for parents, children, and teens. The list is hosted by the Community Education Service at McMaster Children's Hospital, Chedoke Child and Family Centre, which has developed a number of large-group parenting interventions, including the "Right From the Start" course for parents of 0-2 year olds, the "COPEing with Toddler Behavior" course for parents of 2-4 year olds, the "COPE Community Parent Education" program for parents of 3-12 year olds, and the "COPEing with Teen Behavior" for parents of 12-18 year olds. For information about these courses, visit www.communityed.ca Subscribers are welcome to discuss issues of common interest to agencies and individuals who may be offering these, or similar parenting courses. The list is not moderated, but only people who have subscribed to the list may post messages. Junk mail and unsolicited advertisements will result in immediate removal from the list. Our purpose in sponsoring this list is to encourage novice course leaders to seek answers and mentoring from leaders who are more experienced, as well as to share ideas and new research into effective parenting programs.
